Meet the Hahka Kitchen's Staff

Randy Hahka
President

It's in the genes!

Four generations of builders/contractors dedicated to excellence in the building or remodeling of your home

Randy brings more than 30 years of experience to his company, Hahka Kitchens. He comes from a long line of expert Finnish finish carpenters and contractors who taught him at an early age to do quality work with attention to detail. Randy's father built hundreds of homes in the Northwest and was known for quality of construction and fine home building at a fair price. After several years of real life experience, Randy moved to a position as foreman and installer for a local kitchen designer/builder.

Randy got his general contractor's license in 1996 and proceeded to do many home remodels, room additions and new construction. Seeing the need in the Santa Barbara area for great design combined with expert installation and full remodeling capabilities, Randy and his wife Jan decided to start "Hahka Kitchens". Randy's ability to oversee the entire kitchen remodel process with a calm and friendly manner has resulted in satisfied and happy homeowners.

Old world craftsman in a family way.

Margarito Ocampo (Dad)

At Hahka Kitchens we work on the heart of your home to help make your family life more comfortable and efficient. From our family to yours.

Margarito Ocampo was the first of our current employees to join our team. Margarito brought his trade skills and work ethic from Mexico where as a young man he learned a variety of building techniques. Like many immigrants he brought his young family here in search of a better life. He went to night school to improve his English while working every day to support his family. With such a hard and steady work ethic it was not long before Margarito landed a permanent job with our company.

José Ocampo, Margarito’s oldest son, graduated from Santa Barbara High School in 2004. That summer José began working with our company as his Dad’s helper. José learned quickly and soon was not just digging ditches and cleaning up, but was learning framing and finish carpentry. His interest piqued and he began attending night classes for construction skills like framing strategies and blue print reading.

Now, just five years later, José is leading his own framing and finish crew and working closely with our subcontractors.

Juan Morales is steadfast and loyal. Juan has come on to lend a steady hand to the company. He works with his nephew Jose’ and is learning quickly and often takes a leading role himself.

Lucio Ocampo, the youngest of the family, graduated from Santa Barbara high school in 2008. Lucio has joined us as his father’s helper and is learning the trade just as his brother did. Lucio is also a quick study and is blessed with the Ocampo work ethic.

The design that you and Linda worked out is both functional and beautiful - in fact everyone who comes in is in awe of how wonderful it is!
